Everyday is Earth Day with L’Occitane Malaysia
Who should be part of this?
To those who use personal and home care products and are having hard time separating their waste, you may want to consider leveraging on #BigLittleThings platform to manage your used personal care products more sustainably.
How does it work?
L’Occitane Malaysia is taking an initiative to recycle not only their emptied products; they are also accepting empties of any brands in the market as well.
Recyclable product categories include:
Beauty packaging such as lip balm tubes, makeup remover bottles and pumps, fragrances bottles and pumps, and deodorant sticks.
Skin care packaging such as face care packaging, refill pouches, and dispensers and tubes for shower gels, facial cleansers and body lotions.
Hair care packaging such as pumps and caps from shampoo and conditioner bottles, hair care dispensers and containers, hair product trigger heads, and refill pouches.
All the above-mentioned products must be CLEANED and DRIED and they must be a Full-Sized Product.
NOTE: They DO NOT accept empties from the categories of: makeup, hair styling and mouth care products.
What do you get in return?
Here’s the best part.
With each emptied, full-sized product you drop at their selected stores, you are able to exchange it for one digital stamp. You have to drop by the store with your first batch of empties, and get yourself registered FIRST in order to track your recycling rewards online.
Accumulation of stamps can be traded in for rewards as below:
E.g If you manage to collect 6 emptied, full sized clean and dried containers, you get to redeem one Almond Shower Oil (35ml).
If you collect 12 empties, you get to redeem one Repairing Shampoo (35ml) and one Almond Shower Oil (35ml)! Isn’t this wonderful? While you cannot use these travel-sized empties for further redemption, you may still return them to L’Occitane Malaysia.
Remember, you are only allowed to redeem the digital stamp with Full-Sized, Cleaned and Dried empties.
Where may I drop the empties?
You may drop these empties at one of the 15 selected L’Occitane stores nationwide to do your part for the environment. (:

Thank you, L’Occitane Malaysia, for inviting me to this special Earth Day 2019 at Pokok KL Cafe. It was a fun and informative day to learn about L’Occitane commitment in Malaysia. As an avid user of L’Occitane products, this new program is very encouraging for me to consume and recycle more responsibly.
After learning about L’Occitane en Provence New Plastic Economy Global Commitment, this has inspired me to move with brands that actually make an effort to a sustainable future.
So, let’s race to a new normal?
